TraderCongress brings transparency to political trading by aggregating publicly available financial disclosures into a single, easy-to-use dashboard.

What We Do

Members of Congress are required by the STOCK Act to disclose their stock trades within 45 days. TraderCongress collects these disclosures alongside government contracts, lobbying records, insider trading filings, and federal spending data — giving you a comprehensive view of the intersection between politics and markets.

  • Senate & House Disclosures — Congressional trades, government contracts, lobbying data, insider filings, and off-exchange signals
  • Federal Spending — Contract awards and agency spending data from official government databases
  • SEC EDGAR — Insider trading Form 4 filings

Who We Serve

TraderCongress is built for retail investors, financial advisors and policy researchers in the United States and Canada. The data covers the U.S. Congress, SEC insider filings and U.S. federal contracts and lobbying, which is what matters to anyone who holds U.S.-listed stocks, whether through a U.S. brokerage, a Canadian TFSA or RRSP, or a fund. How We Source and Check the Data

  • Official sources only. Congressional trades come from Periodic Transaction Reports filed with the Clerk of the House and the Secretary of the Senate. Insider trades come from SEC Form 4 filings. Contracts and spending come from USASpending.gov and federal procurement records. Lobbying comes from Lobbying Disclosure Act reports.
  • Checked hourly. Congressional trades and insider filings are checked every hour; contracts, lobbying, dark pool and federal spending data refresh every morning, U.S. Eastern time.
  • Deduplicated. Every record carries a fingerprint of its key fields so a filing that appears in more than one source is stored once. Amended filings replace the earlier version.
  • Shown as filed. We display the amount ranges, owner codes and dates exactly as reported. We do not estimate exact dollar amounts or infer intent.
  • Corrections. If you find a record that does not match the official filing, email support@tradercongress.com with the filing reference and we will review it.
